Stevia is a tasty treasure for anyone wanting to cut out refined sugar from their diets. Stevia; rebaudiana bertoni, is a plant that is hundreds of times sweeter than sugar, without the glycemic index or calories.
It is very strong tasting, so a little goes a long way. I do not prefer it in coffee, but I love it in teas and fruit-flavored waters. For instance, it is great in lemonade or limeade.
Stevia's sweetness is just one of its amazing qualities. It also provides many health benefits (I will touch further on this in a future Natryl Instincts post).
Some sneer at the taste of stevia, however, if used sparingly as a sugar alternative and weight loss aid, the taste grows on you.
It is definitely worth a try!
