Tasty Treasures: Quick Trifle Cake

This simple dessert will satisfy any sweet tooth, take minimal time, and boast a lovely presentation.
Ingredients
1 prepared pound cake of choice
1 container organic blueberries, or berry of choice
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 small can (or half of a large one) sweetened condensed milk
1 vanilla pod, sliced, scraped
1/2c. dark rum of choice
1 can heavy whipped cream, or handmade whipped cream

Slice the pound cake in 1/2 inch slices and set aside. In a bowl, mix the pint of heavy whipping cream, condensed milk, vanilla, and rum. Place one layer of pound cake in the bottom of a trifle dish, and pour a bit of the cream combination over it to cover the slices. Layer blueberries and whipped cream over slices. Then repeat another layer, but save the blueberry layer for the top of the trifle. Serve immediately. Yields 6 servings.
