Tasty Treasures: Easy Antipasti

Antipasti is a prime example of an appetizer that is quick and easy enough for an impromptu visit, yet appropriate for a more formal affair, as well. Ingredients may vary, and there is always something on the tray to suit every one's taste.
Ingredients
1 bowl of marinated olives (recipe below)
1 pkg of gourmet hard salami or meat of choice, cut into half moons
1 pkg of fresh mozzarella, sliced, cut into half moons, drizzled with the olive marinade
1 wedge of aged cheddar, sliced thin
1 wedge of aged Gouda, sliced thin
3 whole, roasted red peppers, cut into rings

Arrange on a platter and serve. Enjoy with a fine red wine or stout.

Marinated Olives
1 bottle of large garlic-stuffed olives, drained
1 bottle of kalamata olives, drained, rinsed
Rind of 1 lemon
1/2t. sesame seeds
1/8t. garlic powder
1/8t. dried basil, parsley, and oregano
Cover with extra-virgin olive oil, and toss frequently before serving.
