Natryl Instincts: Cranberry

Commonly known for its ability to soothe urinary tract and bladder infections, the common cranberry provides numerous other benefits, as well.

Cranberry eases the urinary tract due to its antibacterial properties. "Compounds in the juice can actually alter antibiotic-resistant strains, making it impossible for the harmful bacteria to trigger an infection. A small pilot study from Harvard Medical School and Rutgers University found that eating about 1/3 cup of dried cranberries yielded the same effect." ~wholefoodsupplementsguide.com

Other benefits may include, but are not limited to, anti inflammatory, anti fungal, stroke prevention, anticarcinogenic, asthma relief, antioxidants, and anti fungal.
Cranberries also contain many vitamins and minerals, boasting a substantial amount of vitamin C.

They are a magnificent berry that should be consumed way more often than an occasional infection, holiday dressing, or favorite cocktail.

An easy way to incorporate cranberries daily is to take a supplement, drink cranberry water (1T. organic cranberry concentrate, water, stevia (optional)), or add frozen cranberries to your daily smoothie.

Here's to your health!
